Living Proof of a Loving God to an Ever-Changing World
Little did I know that a high school Typing class would one day develop into the type of job in which I find myself here at Chapel Pike.  I’m so thankful for Jeremiah 29:11 which says, “I know the plans I have for you…plans to give you a future and a hope.”  I truly believe that my previous years of service at World Gospel Mission, IWU, New Horizons Youth Ministries, and a software development company prepared me for a well-rounded ministry here at Chapel Pike.  The experience was invaluable, and I truly have the dream job!  I not only utilize my secretarial and organizational skills, but also my educational training.  I graduated from IWU in 1992 with an A.S. in Christian Education and then went on to receive my B.S. in Sociology and Criminal Justice in 2001.  The Lord has been so good to see me through many life experiences and, through those, has given me ministries both inside and outside the church.  I also work part-time as a van driver with Carey Services, and there’s nothing more rewarding than having one of the “consumers” or clients come up to me and give me a great, big hug.  Makes my day!  The Lord has given so much to me, and I have the incredible privilege of giving back to Him through my service here in the church office, as well as on the piano during the worship service.  Music speaks to my heart, and I’m so glad I continued with those piano lessons when I was 6 years old!
